Dismemebered Remembered 3

2008 |  76cm x 61cm |  Mixed (heavily stitched) |  $1,800 |  See other: Newington Armory Series

This series started life as flooe rubbings from Newington Armoury. The impressions left on the floor by machinery over the years intrigued me. I started to look for body parts and figures within the marks which led to thinking about armaments and why they are necessary. This isn't intended as a negative comment but a reflection on the use of armaments to both kill and protect.
