Existential Prototype

136cm high , 90cm diameter |  sold |  See other: Plant Fibre Sculptures

Sculpture featuring palm fibre, banana paper, oil sticks, eucalypt dyed silk, and echidna quills, stitched and coiled.

Part of a series of sculptures which continue to explore a sense of the figurative within simple forms. I am aiming to try to capture some sense of how we read what it means to be male/female, relaxed/tense, inquisitive/bored and various aspects which affect how we relate to others. What makes one sculpture seem more powerful and another frivolous?
